The East Fjords: Borgarfjordur, Seyisfjordur, Reydarfjordur, Iceland.

A foggy, misty, ethereal day here in the east fjords of Iceland.  We drove out to Borgarfjordur and the Hafnarholmi bird cliffs where several species of birds nest in the spring and summer months including puffins.  In season it is one of the very best and easiest places to observe up close puffins.  But wait you ask, I don’t see any puffin photos…alas, they fly the coop by mid to late August.  Still a beautiful spot and a great day trip.  One of the photos is of Donna at a roadside unmanned vending machine building literally in the middle of nowhere built by a quirky Icelander.  Sadly from the owners perspective I am sure, we only took the photo and did not make a purchase.  Also headed out to Seyisfjordur (blue church, etc.) and got a few photos of the area just outside of where we are staying in Reydarfjordur, two fjords over from Seyisfjordur.
