Driving through the East Fjords and SE Iceland to Hofn Sept 15, 2023

Our drive today was through the East Fjords into SE Iceland and ending at Djnjandi guesthouse.  Another beautiful drive…as is every days drive here in Iceland.  On the first fjord we drove around, (which no one drives as there is a tunnel through the mountain there ) we saw no other cars….when you get off of the ring road, you leave the tourists behind!  Our guesthouse is about 2.5 miles outside of Hofn, where we ate dinner…a reindeer burger and fries for me…the owner of the guesthouse more or less talked me into it…she said the reindeer were introduced into Iceland from Norway a number of years back and have become a pest, so I should try reindeer while I’m here.  It was good…Donna had lobster pasta.   A fun series of Donna in the big red chair.  A rather dramatic location for reading wouldn’t you say.  That is only a few miles from where we are staying in a small two room guesthouse, where do to car trouble for the other alleged guest, we are the only ones here.
