Drive to Hoffstahdir guesthouse and our one night stay at the guesthouse, Iceland September 10, 2023

 Our longest driving day of the trip; over 7 hours of in and out fjord driving, some more sections of gravel roads, and very few people as we remain off of the beaten track.. we got back to the ring road after 4-5 hours of driving, gassed up, and there were the tourists.  Highly recommend making detours off of the ring road…very rewarding.  Didn’t take a lot of photos on the road today as we had such a long days drive, but still some nice ones.  Hoffstahdir guesthouse was another big winner for a nights stay.  A stunning setting, a great (albeit expensive) cod and shrimp dinner (best cod of my life, incredible) an amazing sunset walk and an unbelievably fantastic breakfast that was included in the night’s stay…best breakfast spread I’ve ever had.  So if you get to Iceland…stay here.
