Sintra, Portugal April 14, 2019

The earliest we can check in at our next airbnb in Porto is 6 PM, so we decide to spend a few hours in Sintra and its Unesco listed town center.  We drive the loop twice before finding a parking spot.  Sintra is touristed but is indeed very scenic as the photos show.  We had thought about touring the palace (the building with the two strange funnels), but in the looking at lavishly decorated rooms versus walking around town comparison, we opt for the walking around town.  I took a few photos of post cards of another fabulous looking palace which although not very far away we just couldn't fit in..the postcard shots are beautiful...and we'll just say we saw it, and that those are my photos.  Who's to know, only us and the two other people that will read this Blog post.  We're glad we decided to spend a few hours in Sintra..just right except for missing out on palace and castle tours, which is no big deal to either of us.
