Barcelona - March 21, & April 4-5, 2019

We flew to Barcelona from Denver via London-Gatwick and stayed two nights, one day, in Barcelona before flying to Casablanca for the start of our Morocco trip and then we flew back to Barcelona from Marrakech and stayed 3 more nights in Barcelona, 2 days.  We didn't do quite as much as we intended since Donna was so sick when we got back to Barcelona.  She slept in on our first full day back in Barcelona and then went to a medical clinic a few blocks from our apartment., which she really needed to do, as her cough is the worst she's ever had.   Very good experience with Spanish health care - young doctor from Venezuela (8 years in Spain).  Diagnosis -acute bronchitis.  Antibiotics and inhaler prescribed.  total cost for medical visit and meds, less than 80 Euros.  Can you even imagine what that would have cost some Spaniard if the same thing had happened to them in the US?

So basically we took in the Las Ramblas, the gothic quarter (lots of narrow street with shops and restaurants, and La Sagurda Familia - the amazing gothic church still being constructed here in Barcelona (When completed it will be tallest church in the world).    We stayed near the Arch Triumph, so near all of this sites.  Several good meals and lots of walking, at least on our first day when Donna was healthy.  Below average temps when we returned - 50's and rainy off and on.  Nice and sunny in the 60's for our first day.
