Piran - Slovenia's gem on the Adriatic

We arrived in Piran, Slovenia around 7 pm, and it started out a bit rough as you can't park in the historic town and you are limited to 20 minutes for free, and our airbnb is right in the heart of the town with a small  ocean view, located about 30 feet from the promenade.  Anyway, the whole process took us almost two hours, with a number of hiccups along the way, like the restaurant that had the key to our place didn't seem to know anything about it, etc.  We had pizza at one of Ric Steve's recommended restaurants just before it closed, so we ate around 9:45 PM.  The next day we wandered around the town, and we both really loved it.  It's locals and mostly local tourists, so mainly Slovenes, with a scattering of other visitors from other countries.  Few Americans make it to here.  We had a fabulous seafood meal at another of Ric Steve's recommended restaurants run by a local father and son.  We sat next to an Italian man from Venice and his Beijing China girlfriend?  We had a delightful conversation with him after dinner.  This restaurant sone of his favorites anywhere and he's traveled extensively.  A beautiful little Adriatic town and the only real charming Slovenian coastal town.  Definitely recommend visiting.
