Favs-Traveling to and around Salzburg, Austria Sept. 9, 2018
I wasn't originally planning on visiting Salzburg, but we are only an hour away, and we can stop at Hallstatt on the way to Bled, Slovenia so we decided to head over to Salzburg for the day. The drive was beautiful and we stopped by a lake and got a few shots of the lake and the Alps. Salzburg is Mozart country (a number of places have their claim on him...Salzburg - his birth town and where he lived the longest; Vienna, where he lived for ten years and loved; Prague, a town that loved Mozart; etc.). We toured Mozart's birthhome, and I snuck in a few photos of his violin, piano, his "purse" (wallet) and a few others; (you weren't supposed to take photos). Then we walked around a bit, had a nice bakery bun, cheese and apple lunch in Mirabelli Gardens, Donna walked over and bought Aria another gift, and I took photos of the gardens, and then we headed back to Bad Ischl and our charming accommodation.
