Ecocamp Life, Torres del Paine NP March 23-25, 2018

Brad and I stayed at Ecocamp in Torres del Paine NP.  We were in a standard dorm, with two twin beds, a nightstand and not much else...no heat, but very nice and warm blankets, although our first two nights there were fairly cold and I slept in my long underwear...very comfortable.  We were conveniently located just across from the communal bathroom/shower building for all of standard "domers".  The "suite comers" had their own bathroom in their dome and a heater as well...for that privilege, I believe the rate was over $500/night US.  Obviously being green ain't cheap.  All of our meals were included, and it was excellent..the dinners were particularly good, and the desserts were outstanding.  All of the Ecocamp staff were really good, and they universally commented on how they loved working there.  We had good hiking guides, and we particularly liked Henry...Brad had him for three days, I had him for 2 days.  He has ambitions of eventually running the place someday.  He might just do that..he spoke excellent English and was super knowledgeable about the area.  As you can see from the photos of Ecocamp, our entrance to our standard dorm was very hobbit like in size.
