Indian Harbor, Paddies Cove, Peggy's Cove, Polly's Cove, Nova Scotia October 7, 2019

We have settled in for a week in Indian Harbor, Nova Scotia.  We are about 2 miles just south of Peggy's Cove, the big tourist draw in this area.    Our two bedroom place is on a 2 acre property shared by the owners house and has a beautiful view of the Indian Harbor lighthouse.  Our accommodations have just gotten better as the trip has gone on... and not a single bad one, just differing levels of good to great.

We spent 6 hours out and about and didn't even make it farther than 5 miles from our place.  It's that gobsmackingly beautiful.  We went to Paddies Cove, Peggy's Cove, and hiked to Polly's Cove.  Peggy's Cove has the most photographed lighthouse in Canada, is a very small quaint town, and was "ground zero" for recovery efforts when a Swissair flight crashed in the Atlantic in 1998, killing all 200 plus passengers and crew.  It's where the tourist buses and people are...it must be a total zoo in the summer, but is tolerable this time of year and it was quaint.  Everywhere else though we had the place to ourselves...saw zero people on our hike in Polly's Cove and 2 people in Paddies Cove.  Beautiful seaside homes and villages, spectacular coastline with dramatic crashing waves and the beautiful view and peace and quiet of our place here.  A great first day.
