Indian Harbor, Lunenburg & Hirtle's Beach, Nova Scotia Oct. 9, 2019

Headed over to Lunenburg, a Unesco Word Heritage site, and yet another quaint seaside village.  Stopped to take a few photos just a few miles from our place at another beautiful little harbor that dots the coastline here and all over Nova Scotia.  Lueneburg is another of those spots that is totally overrun in the summer with tourists, but is relatively quiet at this time of the year.  The visitor's centers around here aren't even open.  Fall colors are spectacular on highway 103 on the drive over, but's a more major road and I can't really pull over to grab some shots.  Suffice it to say the fall colors are making and its beautiful.  Did our usual walk the town, take photos, some shopping (no purchases this time by Miss Donna), etc.  Had a nice picnic lunch in Adirondack chairs on one of the piers.  Then we went to search of a Gaff Point hike.  Google Maps is wrong (we eventually even found a sign on the road that said that), and we go down some dead end roads before finally finding the parking area for Hirtle's Beach and the Gaff Point trail.  It's too late to hike the whole 4 mile trail (and it was confusing where the trail was exactly anyway), but we got a nice brach walk in before heading back to our great accommodation and a wonderful fishcake dinner prepared by Donna.
