Living the Island Life, Quadra Island 9: Kayaking Breton, King, Gold Islands, Village Bay

Anna and Nic have tried my new kayak twice (and loved it) but Donna hasn't had a chance yet. So we head over to Rebecca Spit on a nice calm day, and Donna takes it our for a spin. Although she has limited experience in a solo kayak she does very well, and she looks great in it too! (Of course I think she looks great all the time). After she's done with her kayak test drive, I head out for an afternoon paddle. Although it doesn't rain very much up here in coastal BC during the summer and fall, occasionally you'll get a rainy day, and this afternoon will be the rainiest day of the trip . Calm conditions, no rain at first then light rain the rest of the time, but I've got my rain jacket, and it is a very magical paddle. Finally saw a number of starfish along the shore and some of the usual wildlife, although not a lot of pictures this time as the lens started to fog up once it started raining.
