Last summer hike in Grand County
Been too busy to post anything for quite a while, so stepping back a ways in time.
Took one last summer trip to the condo in August and did a day hike, climbing Bottle Peak and Ptarmigan Peak. You can see these peaks along with Byers Peak (the dominant peak) looking to the west from the Fraser condo. I have climbed Bottle Peak several times, but never dropped down the saddle and back up to Ptarmigan Peak - but now I can check that one off the list. A pleasant day, no people, the usual clouds moving in in the afternoon, all in all a great hike. The peaks in the pictures are Byers and Bills Peaks as viewed from Bottle and Ptarmigan Peaks.
