Grand Marais and Lori Braidey family

After finishing our "idyllic" BWCA trip, Donna and I drove back down the Gunflint Trail to Grand Marais and our B&B.  Welcome showers (although I took a sun shower almost every day in the BWCA) and then off to a delicious dinner  at The Crooked Spoon Cafe (recommended by B&B proprietors and excellent food).  The next morning we knocked around Grand Marais before heading to Mora, MN and a visit with Donna's former young coworker Lori and her family.  Lori lived in CO for two years and worked with Donna in Child Find, then moved back to MN (she's an International Falls, MN native - now that's MN!), where she now lives with her husband Kevin and their two children near Knife Lake north of Mora, MN.  Lori's oldest child is Gage, who is a riot.  Warms up to you right away, and then proceeds to talk your head off and of course those kids say the darndest things.  Gage story - his first day of preschool was the next day, and he arrives at preschool and announces to his teacher that "I know how to wipe my own butt".

A nice finish to a great trip (for Donna - I was off on another BWCA adventure).

Dropped off Donna at airport to fly back to CO, and I took off back up to Bemidji - stayed at George's another night, met up with Jeff Norby, and back to Ely.  Next up - trip number 2.
