rack Canyon, San Rafael Wilderness Nov. 2020

 Drove a few miles down the Behind the Reef Road to the Crack Canyon trailhead.  This canyon slots up a ways in, and the map says most people don’t require ropes, but when I got to that section, there was a rope in place which I used to get down (and then back up with difficulty later).  I was able to go about perhaps a hundred yards past that point when I got to another difficult obstacle, no rope this time and after perusing it for a while, decided it was too dicey for me to go any further, so I hiked back out...still a 4.5 mile RT hike in a great canyon with some really interesting features.
