Upper Geneva Creek - S. Park trail 600 Aug 28, 2019

Another day hike in the Guanella Pass area.  I was going to hike to Shelf Lake, but the USFS blocked off the road much farther down (just as well, the upper road had gotten so rough it would have required an industrial strength 4 wheeler to get up there).  So I parked at the end of the road and started up hiking eventually intersecting with trail 600, South Park trail, that I hiked to the top and a view of South Park.  8 Miles RT and 1700 feet of elevation gain.  Along the creek for about half the way, and the views from the top were really nice.  Only saw one other person, a mountain biker and his dog at the very end of the day.
