Abyss Lake Trail July 30, 2019

One of the trails I've hiked the most times over the years; it was the first trail I backpacked with Colin when he was 6 years old.  I've made it all the way back to Abyss Lake twice in a day (it's 18 miles RT) but managed 12 miles RT this day and an elevation gain of 2100 feet.  Not bad considering I'm 66 and haven't hiked that much this summer (but lots of kayaking, yeah!).  A number of selfies in this batch of photos - I've taken so many scenery shots over the years that I decided to add my mug.
