Biking in Coeur d"Alene Idaho

After celebrating Aria's first birthday in SLC, we head out on our coastal BC summer trip, but first we stop in Coeur d"Alene Idaho for three nights.  We had driven thru on the interstate before but never stopped.  We stayed in a wonderful airbnb in the Fernan Lake subdivision just minutes from downtown Coeur d"Alene.  Wonderful area, nice mountains and beautiful lakes.  We biked to and around town the first day here - Donna turned too sharply and fell on her bike bruising her right leg above the knee - (this is turning out to be a trip of some mishaps) - but still a beautiful day with a late lunch at a local Greek restaurant.  That evening our hosts, Lynn and Sandra invited us to join them at the local brewpub - much fun.  Next day, Donna says her leg is ok, and we do a 35 mile RT bike ride on a rail to trail paved bike path along Lake Coeur d"Alene.  Really wonderful ride - great day.  It turns out though that Donna should have taken the day off and started the leg healing process and her bruise is fairly significant.  We enjoyed Coeur d"alene so much that we tentatively plan some summer or fall on visiting again for a week next time.
