A new great location (for us) in coastal BC, Comox

We couldn't get our Quadra Island accommodation for two weeks in a row this trip so I booked an airbnb in Comox for five nights.  Great accommodation - our own little apartment in Joanna's walk out basement - recently totally refinished - peek a boo views of the water, walking distance to town and great walks right out our door through the Douglas fir / Western Cedar forest to Goose Spit and great evening sunsets - we do this walk every night we are here.  Blackberries are just starting to come in and we add blackberry picking to our agenda in the evening.  We kayaked on the river one day, Donna walked around town and I biked around town, I did a long solo kayak in Comox Harbor and out to Tree and Denman Islands, and for something different we drove up to Mt. Washington ski area and Sthracona National Park and did a 3 hour hike.  We loved our time here and plan on returning.

  1. Great photos, looks like a beautiful area, thank you for sharing. So glad to see that you and Donna are having such a wonderful time!

Where was the sixth photo in this series taken? It looks like a formal garden, but I'm guessing it was someone's front yard.

    Happy travels!
