Back to London, Abbey Road and back home. May 3-4, 2024

 Checked out of our hotel and walked the couple of blocks to the train platform, to discover that our train was canceled.  Walked back to the hotel, got some phone numbers, and found out that a bus and van were supposed to take us to the Swansea to catch a train back to PAddington.  So back to the train platform, and there was a van, which us and 12 other passengers got on.  We waited for a half hour, while the van driver waited for the bus that never came, and so off we went in the crowded van.  Then about 5 miles from Swansea, the Van died, and luckily the driver was able to get it running again, in time for us to make the train in Swansea and back to London.  That evening after dinner we walked to Abbey Road (about 1.5 miles away) and made that “pilgrimage”…it was a fun way to end our trip.
