Quadra Island July 26-31, 2026

Several rainy and socked in days.  We managed to get berry picking and our local walk in but good days for reading.

A magnificent orange moonrise.

A nice sunrise and sailboat

Back on the water on a low tide.  The usual suspects…seals, starfish, eagles.  But what a wonderful activity to be able to do in “our backyard”.

An otter - saw two of them in Hyancinthe Bay, but only got this one lousy photo.

                                                          Bonaparte gulls

Second evening in a row of a magnificent orange moonrise.  It was a bit later than the previous night and the closer shots are pretty pixelated, but I’m including them, as they remind me a bit of an impressionistic painting.

Donna’s photos of the moon rise are even better.

Morning sunrise

Did the usual neighborhood loop walk/hike and saw this Barred Owl on the Fox Road “logging road trail” portion of the walk.
