Final great hike in Capitol Reef NP, Golden Throne trail

 We drove the scenic road to the end and attempted the wash trail at the end but it was totally shaded and it was so cold we only went a half mile RT, but it turned out to be a good decision because at the same point another trail that had a moderate amount of vertical started, the Golden Throne trail.  Another beautiful trail, and as usual we only saw one other hiker, a young ranger named Emily, who was really nice and gave us some information about some slot canyons a half hour from the visitor’s center.  For the next trip.
