Morocco - March 23, 2019; Casablanca & Rabat

We had an hour long line when arriving in customs.  Met up with our group  at the hotel at 6.  It's a great group; 7, 20 something medical Aussies; 2 IT Indian sisters; 1 IT american woman; us.  Chama (pronounce Shama) is our 25 year old guide. (She's great).  Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco and an economic hub for the country but I gather not most Moroccons favorite.  We toured the Hasaan II mosque, third largest in Islam and largest in Morocco.  Can house 25,000 people, and is only mosque open to non muslims.  Annoying Brits, asking questions about the Lord's prayer and do the muslims pray it, etc.  otherwise a very interesting tour.  ...Built fairly recently - finished in 1990's?   Then to Rabat, cultural hub of Morocco.  Toured kasbah (fort) in the medina (old part of city), then the Hasaan family mausoleum, and mosque, then dinner out in family's home.  A great start to the trip!
