Upper Cimarron Road, March 14, 2026

 Normally this would have been a snowshoe or a cross country ski outing, but I just hiked.  The road was snow packed after the winter closure spot (about 2.5 miles from Silver Jack Reservoir), but lots of bare spots too.  Only 37 miles from our house to start of hike.  More over cast day, so the photos are less spectacular  than had it been a blue sky day.  Even though it was a Saturday, I saw no one else recreating.  This is a spectacular area in the fall, but great year round.
