A second mid winter trip to the San Rafael Swell with a very quick SLC visit afterwards

 Five days of recreation starting with my first ever visit to the Colorado National Monument (no hiking, just a drive through on the scenic drive - very nice) which is really the start of the Colorado Plateau country.  Then 4 days of hiking in the Swell, really exploring even more new areas.  No trails, just wandering up and down canyons, paying attention to roughly where I am so I can find my way back to the car (so far, so good), and as always (at least in the winter), I did not see one other person recreating.  Blissful solitude!  A two night stay in Holladay, with a sinter visit to Red Butte Garden for Aria, Anna and me, and a drive back across Wyoming to home.  Another Swell trip.
