First week on Quadra with Anna, Nic and Aria - July 2024

 We had a fantastic week (actually 9 days) on Quadra with Anna, Nic and Aria.  A whale swam close by within an hour of our arrival, and we saw whales every day they were here, often a ways out so viewing through binoculars, but once a whale hung out in front of our place literally for over two hours the morning of their last full day here.  Some distant breaching as well.  Anna, the whale whisperer, seems to draw them in.  Orcas came by twice too.  Local hikes, kayaking almost every day, games at night, fairy walks, a picnic at the Spit, as always a magical time here on Quadra, and not a drop of rain the entire ice they were with us.  So sad to see them leave.  It’s a special place for all of us.
