Nesika Beach, Oregon July 2021

After a week in Trinidad and Redwood country we headed 2.5 hours north to Nesika Beach, Oregon, about 7 miles north of Gold Beach.  It was overcast when we arrived but sunny everyday after.  Sunsets every night at the beach, which was pretty much our own private beach.  Our house is on a small road that only has four houses on it that share an access to the beach.  Public accesses to this area are a mile or a mile and a half to the north, so basically anytime we are at the beach we are the only ones there, or maybe we might see one other group.  Lots  of hanging out at the beach, charades every night with Aria (much fun(, and exploration of the surrounding area; Sisters Rock, Natural Bridges, Otter trail, etc.  It’s cool and windy here but we will take that any day over hot, or especially hot and humid.  Saw a pair of ospreys most days, a baby seal that may have lost its mother, not sure; a skunk on the beach, lots of gulls, a few pelicans, a few other seals, black oyster catchers, sanderlings, etc.    A very relaxing and wonderful week here.
