Day hike up 3 mile Creek Trail to the top

I decided to escape the Denver heat and go up and hike a close by tried and true trail, 3 Mile Creek trail in the Mount Evans Wilderness on June 30, 2020.  I made it up to the top (you can actually turn the trail into a loop by going to the Rosalie trail, then Abyss Lake trail and then two miles of road back to your car...ends up being at least 14 miles;  but I did 10 miles RT on just the 3 mile Creek trail.  Most people go up about 2.5-3 miles to a meadow and turn around, and that is real nice, crisscrossing the very nice 3 mile creek, but the top two to 2.5 miles are steep and you get great views into South Park, and eventually at the top you are looking at Mount Bierstadt and Evans, the two 14ers you can see from Denver.  A good workout in a beautiful area to escape the heat on a warm day in Denver.
