Theory of Relativity - Midwest Tour

I think "Theory of Relativity" would be a great name for a rock band. At some point they would do a midwest tour. Although Donna and I are not forming a rock group any time soon, there are some that say that we are "rocking it" as 60 year olds (The "some" who say this shall go nameless, otherwise I'll have to come up with some names of folks who actually have said this). So, although we are not a rock band, we did do an epic midwest tour where we visited with almost every relative that we have in the midwest (and a few relatives and friends that just happened to be visiting the midwest at the same time)

So the trip by the numbers:

3400 miles driven (in the newly purchased Honda Accord - average 36 miles per gallon for the trip)

Stayed overnight in ten different homes (thanks everyone)

Saw 18 different groups of family and friends

Managed to be at my folks house for my Dad's 89th birthday

All in 2 weeks

In addition to all that driving, eating and visiting, we did sneak in a day in Chicago, did a Frank Lloyd Wright tour in Oak Park, and had a glorious three days in the upper peninsula of Michigan, where the fall colors were at their peak.

So my theory is that it is indeed all relative.
