Gig Harbor, WA - another beautiful spot

Leaving Twilight country behind, we drive clockwise around the Olympic Peninsula to our next destination, Gig Harbor, Washington; and a beautiful location it is.  Our long time friends from Salt Lake City, Utah, who lived the last two years in Wrangell, Alaska have now moved to Gig Harbor (all job related moves).  They just bought a very nice home that they are fixing up on an acre and a half about two miles from the harbor.  A great property, and the town is very picturesque.  Spectacular views of Mt. Ranier from the harbor, nice quaint homes (and of course the big bucks homes on the water); it's across a toll bridge from Tacoma, so basically near the southern end of Puget Sound.  We ate at a water front eatery, took an evening boat ride in the Gutman's 21 foot cabin cruiser, knocked around town briefly, Donna and Sally did the "decorating the house thing", and had a fantastic crab, steak, and chicken dinner our second evening at the Gutman's, before we took off for our last destination - Anna and Nic's place in Salt Lake City.  Of course, as is usual with us, we are now planning on moving to Gig Harbor (just goes on the list of the last great place we visit) - we actually do love the maritime climate (at least in the summer)  but have never experienced a long drizzly winter.  On to the pics.
