Grand County January 2023

 Another great time up in Grand County.  11 nights and ten days of recreating.  George joined Brad, Donna and me for 3 days, also.  A very snowy time…truly amazing snow, second highest snowpack for this time of year in the last ten years.  We did our usual trails, and only repeated one…the east shore trail, as it was a very snowy day our last day and the road was dicey going back to Monarch Lake.  Great food (thanks to Donna and Brad..George contributed a great meal too), great company, wonderful snowshoeing (and two days of cross country skiing for me), great entertainment every evening (documentaries, movies, etc.).  A really enjoyable time for all concerned.  We even celebrated Brad’s 70th birthday while we were there.  Donna’s battery powered gloves and socks are allowing her to keep doing this, as she has Reynaud’s syndrome.  It’s something we both have alway loved.  Hopefully we’ll have at least a few more years of this before we get too old.
