Another swell time in the San Rafael Swell. April 2021
Headed back to the San Rafael Swell area west of Green River Utah for three day, two night outing. Here are the stats. Drove 820 miles, hiked 29 miles; 3 hikes in Devils Canyon area (8 miles), Eagle Canyon (16 miles) and Three finger canyon (5 miles). Left at 7:30 am on Monday, and returned back home around 7:30 pm on Wednesday. Typical crazy road warrior Don stuff. All the hikes were great..the first two was hiking on ATV/Jeep roads, and the third one was hiking up a canyon, no trail. Saw no one else hiking...a few $WD’s and ATV’s and a few groups at the last trailhead, otherwise it was just me. Like I said before, this is NAtional Park level scenery with none of the people. Really enjoying exploring this area. Highs in 60’s and lows around freezing. Fine for overnight camping.
