February 2021 in Grand County, CO

 Month 2 in Grand County.  It finally started snowing and the snow at WP skis area improved dramatically, and the snowshoeing and cross country skiing was great.  My student, Ryder signed up for another 5 weeks, and he and I (and his dad) were the only participant and volunteer on Tuesdays.  Ryder made fantastic progress and I’ve got him skiing blue runs now.  He’s been so cooperative and he is really proud of himself (and I’m proud of him).  So a good second five weeks with the NSCD.

Got a lot of snowshoeing and cross country skiing in on lots of different trails.  We rarely see very many other people when we are out.  Even on the weekends we might only see a few groups and that is usually at the very end of the day when we are close to the car.  So most of the time it’s just our group, great snow and great scenery.
