Day hike at Staunton State Park; Colorado's newest State Park

Haven't hiked much this summer at all with the major home and yard renovations that we are undertaking this summer, but finally got out for a dayhike; up to Staunton State Park, only about 30 miles SW of home .   Really nice park that is still being developed, hiked about ten miles of trail with about a thousand foot of elevation gain on a real pleasant summer mountain day.
